Virginia supervises from the lantern

This is our Alpha female water dragon, Virginia. She is smarter and more pushy than any of the many other dragons around the home at this time of year. She likes to keep an eye on things, and especially looks out for morning or afternoon tea on the deck - in fact any meal that we have, she would like to have too. Scrambled eggs are good! Ginny follows me in the garden, and cleans up any insect or worm that I disturb. She and Sandra are less close! Virginia has been known to nibble toes if food is not forthcoming at her convenience. We see her and recognise her each year. We know she is female because she has laid her eggs in the garden in plain sight, not to mention her sexual activities with the large males. We think she is likely responsible in good part to the explosion in the dragon population in our garden over the past few years. She understands English, but can only communicate to us with sign language at this point.
